Welcome to the PASH Family
PASH operates as a registered Charitable Trust in Fiji, relying primarily on our clinic for financial support. All proceeds generated are dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of stray animals.
Our story
Every great mission begins with a moment of clarity, a single, undeniable truth that refuses to be ignored. For the founders of PASH, that truth was simple: the animals of Fiji deserved better.
Walking the streets of Nadi, it was impossible not to see them, dogs curled beneath market stalls, cats darting between rubbish bins, strays with matted coats and weary eyes, surviving day to day with no one to call their own. There were good-hearted people who wanted to help, and there were other shelters doing their best, but the scale of the problem was simply too great. Existing shelters were overwhelmed, stretched beyond their capacity, doing remarkable work under impossible pressure. The need outgrew the solution long ago. The founders of PASH looked at this reality and decided: they would build something more. Not to replace what existed, but to add to it to raise the bar and help carry the weight.
The idea was brilliantly straightforward, create a safe home before the forever home. A place where a rescued dog could be nursed back to health, learn to trust again, and wait safely for the family that was meant to find them. A place where a stray cat could sleep indoors for the first time, play in the sunshine, and be seen for the loving creature she truly was. Not a holding facility. A genuine sanctuary, warm, compassionate, and purpose-built.
PASH was never just about rescue. From the very beginning, the founders understood that solving the stray animal crisis in Fiji required more than shelter beds, it required a shift in how people think about and treat animals.
That is why PASH is intentionally built to lead by example. Every element of how we care for our animals, the clean and enriching living spaces, the home-cooked meals, the training, the socialisation, the medical attention and thedaily love is visible and intentional. We want people to walk through our gates and see, with their own eyes, what responsible and compassionate animal care looks like. Not just read about it.
A Gift from the Heart
A Gift from the Heart
PASH would not exist in the form it does today without the extraordinary act of giving by its founders, Robert Facciola and Marie Peyman. Together, they created PASH from the ground up — pouring not only resources but years of personal dedication into building Fiji's first purpose-built rescue shelter and veterinary hospital. And then, in a gesture of remarkable generosity, they donated PASH in its entirety to a registered Charitable Trust, ensuring that what they had built could never be owned by any one person, but would belong forever to the animals and the community it serves.

How we stay Funded
PASH is powered by generosity. To every individual and business who has donated their time or resources to our mission, thank you. Your support is felt every single day within these walls.
We also fundraise throughout the year, with all funds going directly towards our operations and the long-term sustainability of PASH. As of 2023, we reached a milestone we are enormously proud of — our shelter is now funded through our clinic operations. Every consultation, surgery, and vaccination booked at our veterinary hospital goes straight back into the rescue mission. Donations and fundraising remain vital to our growth and community programs, but this is a model we believe in. PASH building a sustainable future for itself and for every animal that still needs us.
