Uno - The Dog that started it all.

In April 2019, when PASH officially opened its doors, the very first animal to walk through them was a dog named Uno. Rescued from the roadside, Uno arrived scared but curious—unaware that he was about to make history as PASH’s first-ever shelter resident.

From the moment he arrived, Uno’s gentle, friendly nature shone through. He loved every human he met, wagging his tail at staff, volunteers, and visitors alike. Despite the challenges he had faced, he carried a warmth that reminded us all why we do what we do.

Uno quickly became a favorite around the shelter, but his story didn’t end there. He found his forever home with someone who knew him best—one of PASH’s very own caregivers.

Today, Uno lives a life filled with love, adventure, and joy. But for us, he will always be more than just a beloved pet—he is a symbol of new beginnings and a reminder of why we opened our doors in the first place: to give animals like him the second chance they deserve.

Uno may have been our first, but because of your support, he certainly wasn’t the last. Together, we’ve helped so many more animals find their happily-ever-afters. And we’re just getting started.
